It looks like things are finally looking up for the Spelling and McDermott family. After struggling to find any work for several years now, it looks as though Dean McDermott is going back to his television roots as he landed a guest role in the hit NBC show, CSI.

According to People Magazine on Tuesday, McDermott plays a man on the crime drama who may or may have not killed a family. He plays, "Mr. Fogel," who is described as a creepy character and registered sex offender.

The show's producer Don McGill tells the site, "We're super excited to have Dean on the show. He plays a man with a shady past who is guilty of heinous crimes, but is he guilty of murdering an entire family? Only the CSIs can get to the truth."

Did Dean McDermott Cheat On Tori Spelling With Multiple Women?

Meanwhile, McDermott's wife Spelling says she has a good reason why she's so open about her personal and family life with her fans on her reality show, True Tori.

In a new interview with People Magazine last Friday, Spelling says that she likes to be in control of what is said about her and her family and that is why she decided to do her reality television show, True Tori.

She said, "I feel like I've always had a good connection with my fans and everyone out there. I'm very open and honest about my life. My life has been very public, and it's hard to keep things private. I'd rather get the truth out there than have people write what they think the truth is."
