'James Bond' Next Movie: Idris Elba Casting Possibility Infuriates Radio Host Rush Limbaugh & Sparks Outrage On Twitter
Radio host Rush Limbaugh has a very negative reaction to the possibility of actor Idris Elba playing James Bond after Daniel Craig’s run as the iconic character is over.
Idris Elba Opens Up To GQ Magazine
“James Bond is a fictional character, obviously,” he said. “And James Bond is a total concept put together by Ian Fleming. He was white and Scottish. Period. That is who James Bond is.”
Craig, who is set to return as James Bond for the next two films - Spectre and Bond 25 - in the long-running series, is expected to give up his title after the last is released.
Chadwick Boseman Dishes On Black Panther Role
“But now Sony is suggesting that the next James Bond should be Idris Elba, a black Briton rather than a white from Scotland,” the conservative political commentator continued. “But that’s not who James Bond is, and I know it’s racist to probably even point this out.”
Limbaugh went on to say the character was never played by a black character solely because of the description created by Fleming.
Many were shocked by Limbaugh’s statements and took to Twitter to mock him.
The fact that Rush Limbaugh hates the idea of Idris Elba playing James Bond makes me think Samuel L. Jackson should play him instead.

It's so cute how sad Rush Limbaugh is at the thought of James Bond changing race. Meanwhile, children couldn't care less that Annie's black.

Rush Limbaugh hates the idea of a black man pretending to be James Bond. I hate that Rush Limbaugh gets to pretend to be a human being.

Rush Limbaugh is very upset that Idris Elba might be Bond. An adult human is throwing a tantrum about the color of a fake person.
