She has since opened up about her decision to stay in her marriage to Hank Baskett following his highly-publicized cheating scandal, but Kendra Wilkinson may be crediting two other people for helping her to get through the struggles of this past year.
Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett Have Their Relationship
In a new interview with Mini magazine, the Kendra on Top reality star dished on how being a mom always brings her back down to earth and always help her cope with whatever she's handed.
"Motherhood has made me a much stronger person and has really taught me what life is really about," she said. "My two babies always being me back down to Earth and remind me that every single moment in life should be taken in. Every second should be appreciated."
Kendra Wilkinson 'Stronger Than Ever'
The mother of Hank IV, 5, and Alijah, 8 months, was rocked by a cheating scandal earlier this year when reports surfaced that Baskett had cheated on his wife with transsexual model Ava Sabrina London while she was eight months pregnant with their daughter.
The drama and fallout from the scandal played out on the couple's show during the third season, and ended with Wilkinson's decision to remain in the marriage and work on improving it.
And though she credits motherhood with being the thing that made her stronger, her friend Jessica Hall credits the entire situation as something that made the reality star truly become the strongest she's ever been.
"With everything that went on, she just had no choice but to be strong, not only for herself but for her two kids," she told Life & Style. "Kendra's really grown up a lot this year, and I'm really proud of who she's becoming."
"She's doing things she would never have done before. She's even reconnected with her dad after 20 years," she added. "I see the new year as being good for her, not just career-wise, but also family-wise."
