Miranda Lambert's Platinum may be loosing some momentum as the year winds down, but that didn't stop the country singer's album from being one of the top records for 2014.

On Wednesday, Us Weekly listed Platinum as one of the five best albums of the year, claiming that the star's "spectacular" achievement is rather impressive "start-to-finish."

Lambert was already getting fans excited prior to the album's June 3 release with hit singles like Automatic and the Carrie Underwood duet Somethin' Bad. After fans got a hold of the album, her popularity only soared and she became one of the predominant female figures in the music industry.

Platinum is listed alongside some of the year's biggest hits, including Taylor Swift's 1989 and Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour, and Bruce Springsteen's High Hope's.

The singer managed to beat out a number of her country contemporaries, including husband Blake Shelton and duet partner Underwood. Shelton released Bringing Back The Shine in September, an album that has fared well overall. On December 9 Underwood's Greatest Hits: Decade #1 hit stores and though sales have been great the album only includes two new songs, which hasn't afforded the singer much room for awards this year.

Lambert's hit album continued to garner much success following its release, including multiple CMA wins. Somethin' Bad recently went platinum and this month Lambert scored Grammy nominations in all four country categories, making her the only country artist to do so this year.
