Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade: Miami Heat Star Talks Second Marriage To Actress, 'Let's See If I Can Do It Right This Time' [VIDEO]
Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union kick off the new year as husband and wife, the NBA star talks his second marriage with the Being Mary Jane actress.
Wade and Union began dating in 2010 just as his marriage with his first wife Siohvaughn Funches came to an end. He spoke with ABC News Thursday and dished on moving on with Union in 2015 and making it last this time around.
"My family [is] starting over as well. It's my second time getting married. Let's see if I can do it right this time, do it better."
He added that while he is looking forward to a new chapter in his personal life, when it comes to his career he is facing a new challenge as well.
"I got comfortable in a role and I thought maybe this is it, maybe this is how I end my career. And then it changed and I'm showing myself that I can still do the things I want to do."
Wade and Union have transformed and renovated their home for the past two years. The Miami Heat player added that he is experiencing the same things in his career.
"I think I'm responding OK. I think 2014 was a pretty good year. And I'm excited for what's next."
Wade is father to four children; two sons from Funches, one from a woman Aja Metoyer who he fathered while on a brief break from Union and a nephew that he has taken in as a legal guardian.
