Ever since Jenelle Evans became engaged, fans have been wondering who bought her ring.

'Teen Mom 2' Star Jenelle Evans Fights Back Against Pregnancy Rumors With New Photo

On Tuesday, the Teen Mom 2 star got engaged to her boyfriend of a year-and-a-half, Nathan Grifftih, while vacationing in St. Thomas. Right away, as a result of Griffith being unemployed, fans alleged MTV had paid for the ring. However, a source claims that is not the case.

"They won’t pay for anything like that,” a show insider told The Ashley's Reality Roundup. “Anyone that thinks MTV would pay for an engagement ring is completely wrong.”

'Teen Mom 2' Season Six Begins Filming

Evans and Griffith began dating in June 2013, just one month after Evans split from her then-husband Courtland Rogers. Weeks later, the pair got a house together and began planning for a child. In Dec. 2013, their dreams of a baby came true, and in June 2014, they welcomed son Kaiser Griffith.

Now, as they film season 6 of Teen Mom 2, the pair are planning to walk down the aisle.

As for their seemingly pricey vacation, The Ashley's source claimed MTV had not paid for that either.

“There’s no way MTV would pay for Jenelle and Nathan to go on vacation. No way,” the source said. “People seem to think that the network pays for everything that these girls do, which just isn’t the case. Shockingly, they are telling the truth– Nathan actually did pay for the trip. He paid the bill for the airfare and hotel stay for everyone, except the film crew obviously.”
