Bates reportedly "screamed out in pain and almost collapsed" about an hour into the Golden Globes on Sunday, according to a source via Us Weekly. An eyewitness said that someone might have possibly stepped on her foot.

"She limped back to her table and looked to be crying in pain," the source said.

However, Us Weekly said that they caught up with Bates at a Globes after-party, where she said, "I'm fine now! I'm absolutely fine."

Bates did not have the best night on Sunday. In addition to this minor injury, she also suffered a loss in her award category. The 66-year-old actress was nominated in the TV Supporting Actress category for her role as bearded lady Ethel Darling in American Horror Story: Freak Show, but she lost to Joanne Froggatt from Downton Abbey.

Bates' American Horror Story costar Jessica Lange was nominated in the Lead Actress in a Limited Series/TV Movie category for her role as Elsa Mars but she lost as well. Lange lost to Maggie Gyllenhaal for her role in the Sundance Channel miniseries The Honorable Woman.

Lange and Bates probably aren't too upset about their losses, having both won Emmy Awards back in August for their respective roles in American Horror Story: Coven.

American Horror Story: Freak Show airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
