On last week's episode of Lifetime's Little Women: LA, Jole and her boyfriend, Joe Gnoffo, discovered their child may face a double dominant gene. Days later, more details became available.
"Dwarfism is caused by dominant genes, and when two little people get pregnant, their baby has a 25% of chance of being of normal height and proportion, a 50% chance of being a little person, and a 25% of suffering from something called double dominance syndrome, which is deadly most of the time," Starcasm explained on Thursday.
Jole and Gnoffo announced their pregnancy on the first episode of Little Women: LA season two. First, Jole revealed her exciting news to Elena Gant. Then, she hosted a dinner party, where she revealed the news to the rest of her co-stars.
The site continued, "Terra and Joe thought they may have been out of the woods because they have difference forms of dwarfism, but their OB/GYN informed them their child still has 25% chance at the problems double dwarfism causes (usually the child is just too small to develop properly and survive.)"
As the episodes go on, fans will watch as Jole attends regular doctor visits. Once she reaches a certain milestone in her pregnancy, she will discover whether or not her child has the double dominant gene. At that point, Jole will either continue with her pregnancy, or terminate it.
Little Women: LA season two airs on Lifetime on Wednesdays at 9 p.m.
