iPhone 5 Release Date; Apple Faces Samsung Lawsuit for LTE Feature in iPhone 5
The iPhone 5 release date is expected to be announced at a September conference. Apple has yet to announce anything about the highly anticipated iPhone 5 release date or the device features. However, rumors suggest that Samsung plans to file a lawsuit against Apple if the iPhone 5 release date reveals that the device uses LTE technology.
"Samsung wants to use this new feature against Apple and is preparing another patent case against the iPhone 5," Examiner reports. While Nokia holds the highest share for LTE patents with 18.9%, Samsung holds 12.2%.
The rivalry with Apple has grown more intense since the iPhone 5 makers won a lawsuit against the Korean company recently.
"Samsung is understandably mad," regarding the "legal beat down" which was issued in a court ruling last week, Cult of Mac reports. They continued saying: "and probably a little embarrassed and majorly vindictive."
The publication continued to report that Samsung "declared that if Apple even thinks about releasing an iPhone 5 with LTE they will sue them immediately."
iPhone 5 release date rumors progress as Samsung also promises to fight against the ban Apple has placed on their products in the US.
Samsung has made an announcement that it will be rolling out its classic Galaxy S3 smartphone in many brand new mineral and gemstone-themed colours just in time for the autumn season.
The phone itself will now be available in the following colors: amber brown, garnet red, titanium grey, and sapphire black. Samsung had stated that the availability will vary based on the country and carrier or retailer within the customer's area.
The latest colors will join the already used pebble blue and marble white ones. The Galaxy S3 is 4.8 in inches and has a 1280x720 display. It runs Android 4.0 and also features a rear-facing camera with 8-megapixels and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.
