The Kindle Fire 2 release date is coming soon and is expected to rival directly against Google Nexus 7 in the tablet market. However, Apple's iPhone 5, Microsoft's Windows 8, & Surface tablet, and Nintendo's Wii U video game all share similar release dates and will make competition in the tech world very fierce. Amazon is gearing up with all new specs to take on market domination when the Kindle Fire 2 release date finally dawns this month.

Apple recently confirmed it's Sept. 12 conference that is expected to announce the iPhone 5 arrival. The iPhone 5 is probably the most highly anticipated smartphone to ever be released. For more than a year now Apple fans have touted its release. Many were left slightly disappointed last year by the release of the iPhone 4S instead of the 5, and that unveiling was a revamped iPhone 4 rather than a radical upgrade - which the iPhone 5 promises.

The Kindle Fire release date has yet to be confirmed by Amazon.

According to recently leaked photos, the Kindle Fire 2 will include several new features for the Amazon tablet. The Verge, a technology venue, released one photo yesterday afternoon and another later in the evening.

In analyzing the photographs, one can assume that Amazon's Kindle Fire 2 will include a microphone and video camera capability with a new camera addition. Another feature will include Skype, which will most likely be available through the Amazon app store. The Kindle Fire 2 will have a new custom design that will look only slightly different from the tablet's original model, the Verge reports.

According to the Christian Post, the Verge also received an additional photo of the tablet but was asked not to publicize it. This photo reportedly indicates "streamlined user interface" with less chrome, the publication wrote.

The Kindle Fire 2 release date also initiates the battle for tablet market domination.

"Amazon is working on a new version of the Kindle Fire, with a larger display, that could compete more directly with the iPad," the NYTimes revealed last month.

One version of the Kindle Fire 2 is rumored to be 7 inches where as the larger display would be nearly 10 inches. Word on whether or not the new device will have 4G capability is still unconfirmed.

The Kindle Fire release date is expected to be Sept. 6.
