A fairly large amount of Samsung devices will be either receiving an update or have already gotten one in August.

Jelly Bean is set to be launched on the Galaxy S3, the Galaxy 2, the orginal Note and the Galaxy Note 10.1 within the next month or so. However Jelly Bean will not be the only update that is expected at this point in time.

Ice Cream Sandwich is still a highly needed upgrade on several devices, especially on Samsung's tablets. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 had previously received ICS in Canada, but the Wi-Fi only Tab 8.9 should have Android 4.0 running on it.

T-Mobile has passed all other United States carriers in sales that previously offered the Tab 7 Plus, although Magenta was the first to deliver the Ice Cream Sandwich on the device.

Magenta had recently rolled out the highly-anticipated ICS update for their Galaxy Tab 10.1 and since they were the first carrier to deliver the Android 4.0 on the respective tablet, many are wondering just how T-Mobile managed to achieve their success over the carrier in terms of the Tab 7 Plus.

Please note that Magneta Galaxy Tab 10.1 owners have not gotten the latest Android OS iteration because it is not an OTA release.

The support documents of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 are currently posted on the official support site of the Magenta carrier and it confirms that its current update is only accessible through Samsung Kies.

Hence, the owner of the tablet can only take full advantage of the update by linking up their Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 to their computer by a USB. Upon that being done, the Samsung Kies software to upload the latest Ice Cream Sandwich will become available on your tablet.

Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is no longer a new release, its track record has still been quite impressive, as its circuitry revolves around a NVIDIA Tegra 2 T20 chipset, which bring the device a dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1 GHz and a full gigabyte of RAM.
