With the Sept.12 iPhone 5 reveal looming, speculation regarding the event is running ramped. However, the latest news has Samsung apparently ready to sue Apple if the smartphone possesses 4G LTE connectivity, which could potentially lead to a rollout disruption.

According to iDownload Blog, some unnamed Samsung Executives had told a company-friendly publication that both the Europe and United States markets of Apple would be subject to legal action if the iPhone 5 comes with LTE.

Phones Review reports that Samsung would have no qualms attempting to ban the sale of the newest iPhone if the device turns up with the respective attribute.

The Apple event will be taking place nearly a year after the iPhone 4S had been on the stage. Several of the device's features have been highly speculated.

Reuters reported that the new iPhone will possess a 4-inch screen, which is an increase from its previous 3.5-inch model, first debuting in 2007. Analysts said that the display increase is Apple's response to Samsung's larger and competitive Android phones, which have surpassed iPhones in smartphone sales.

Images of the iPhone 5 show a new 8-pin dock connector that would overtake the previous 30-pin iOS connector. The processor is slated to be upgraded, but there is no guarantee that the front and rear-facing cameras will be.

According to Mac Rumors, Apple may release up to eight brand new devices in 2012 alone and KGI Securities' Ming Chi Kuo predicted that the tech company will end up selling 45 million iPhones in the last quarter of the year. That would mean 8 million more than the same quarter in 2011.

Samsung and Apple had been in the midst of a patent litigation case in which Apple had prevailed on Aug. 24. Samsung was forced to fork over $1 million dollars to the company due to patent infringement.
