Amanda Knox News: Ex-Boyfriend Rafaelle Sollecito Tell-All Book Reveals They Had Sex The Night They Met
Amanda Knox' ex boyfriend Rafaelle Sollecito revealed details of the couple's romance before the killing of exchange student Meredith Kercher in 2007 and how they had sex the night they met in Italy.
Knox and Sollecito were jailed for four years on the 2007 murder of Kercher. However they were freed last October due to lack of evidence against them.
In his tell-all book "Honor Bound: My Journey to Hell and Back with Amanda Knox" due out September 18 in the U.S., Sollecito describes his first intimate date with Knox and how she made him feel "safe."
"I showed Amanda around and invited her to plop down on the bed while I loaded a film on my computer," Sollecito writes, according to the Daily Mail. "Of course, by the time I settled in next to her, all thoughts of the movie were quickly forgotten and we pulled each other's clothes off before the opening credits finished rolling."
"When I woke up the next morning, Amanda still had her arms wrapped tightly around me. I remember feeling safe and warm in a way I hadn't since I was a little kid," the Daily Mail reports.
In his book, Sollecito maintains they are innocent and claims Rudy Guede is the sole murder and that the killing occurred after a burglary gone wrong.
Guede was convicted separately and is serving a 16-year-sentence in prison.
Sollecito admits that they're "odd" behaviour led police to have suspicions about them. While police investigated the crime at the apartment Knox and Kercher shared, Sollecito and Knox were hugging each other and kissing.
Later at the police station Knox was sitting in his lap and had her arms over him, making Sollecito "uneasey" he said, according to the Associated Press.
Sollecito is currently in the United States promoting his book while Knox is reportedly at her home in Seattle.
According to Sollecito's father he and Amanda have not meet but they "do speak regularly," the Daily Mail reported.
Knox is also writing a book due out next spring Her deal with HarperCollins is worth $4 million, according to reports.
