'Survivor 30' Cast: Rodney Lavoie Jr. Calls Himself A Hustler, Is He Similar To 'Boston Rob?' [VIDEO]
The upcoming Survivor: Worlds Apart will feature general contractor Rodney Lavoie, Jr., who fans are already nicknaming "Boston Rod."
Rodney, 24, is from Boston, Mass. and will be part of the blue collar tribe on Survivor: Worlds Apart this spring. Rooted in his home city, he says in his CBS bio that his personal claim to fame is that he was "captain of the Boston high school all-star football team and the basketball team. Also, I graduated with a bachelor's degree."
As for comparisons to previous players, Rodney says that he is not like anyone who has played before, a common answer for many contestants over the years in their bios.

"Nobody is going to play this game like how you're about to see me play!" he boasts.
As for how he will survive Survivor, Rodney says that he is "athletic, a hustler, persuasive, a team player, amusing and strong."
Winning the game will require him to use his "smarts, athletic ability, hustle like a salesman and personality," though "I think I can make it, baby!"
It remains to be seen if Rodney will earn a "Boston Rod" nickname that lives up to four-time contestant Boston Rob Mariano, but his expressive personality and blue collar roots suggest that he may be a fan favorite.
Survivor: Worlds Apart is set to premiere on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
