iPhone 5: Samsung Ad, Galaxy S3, Fires At Apple; Says 'It Doesn't Take A Genius'
Samsung is not playing nice.
In a new ad released on Saturday, Sept. 15, for their Galaxy S3, Samsung lists the two handset's features side-by-side of their Gaxy S3 and the iPhone 5 and claim "It doesn't take a genius" to realize Samsung prevails.
The ad shows images of both phones as well and also states "The Next Big Thing is Already Here," perhaps hinting to the fact that the iPhone 5 will not hit shelves until Sept. 21 though the Galaxy S3 is also up for grabs, and doing pretty well too.
The Galaxy S3 was unveiled to the world on May 3 and has since become one of the fastest and best-selling phones of all time, and now, the company believes their new gadget will surpass 30 million in global sales by the end of the year.
CNET.com reported that Samsung sold 20 million Galaxy S3 phones in the first 100 days since its debut in May.
However, customers can make the decision for themselves on which phone they prefer.
The Galaxy S3 has a 4.8 inch screen and a 1280x720 HD resolution display. It runs Android 4.0 OS and also features a rear-facing camera with 8-megapixels and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.
In comparison, the iPhone 5 has a 4.0 inch screen, a 1136x640 resolution (not noted on the official ad to be HD) and runs on iOS 6.0 OS.
Samsung also takes a stab at Apple in another way. The title for their newly released ad references to Apple's TV sports and customer service representatives that are nicknamed Geniuses, according to AppleInsider.com.
