Upon its very introduction at the IFA tech show in Berlin at the end of August, Samsung's latest creation, the Galaxy Note 2, will clearly push the envelope in terms of smartphone technology when it finally rolls out in mid-November. The company has come a long way in a short span of time with its latest groundbreaking device.

With the Note 2 set to be launched, the highly-anticipated device should be ready to go just in time for the holiday season and be more widely available than the original version.

United States carriers had actually been cautious over the original Note, as AT&T did not pick up the smartphone until three months after its overseas launch and T-Mobile only recently started to sell the device in August. However, they recently halted its sale altogether until the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will possess a 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos processor in place of its original Qualcomm 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus, which Samsung devices had been equipped with in the United States. However, the smartphone will still keep its similar set of specs to the one that will be launched in several international markets.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will have a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display. It will give users a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels and also has 2GB of RAM. Phone owners will have the option to purchase the respective device with either 16, 32, or 64GB worth of storage space.

The smartphone will get its power from a 3,100 mAh battery, which will be larger than that the first Galaxy Note. Although it will lighter at 182.5g, due to its smaller bezel. The device will be compatible with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as well.

In a technological battle for the top of the smartphone chain, Samsung is obviously looking to make its presence known with the release of the Galaxy Note 2. However, with Apple's recent rollout of the iPhone 5, the company will absolutely have their work cut out for them.
