Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Specs And Features: Latest News & Photos
Upon its unveiling at the end of August, Samsung's latest device, the Galaxy Note 2, has raised the bar in terms of smartphone capabilities. It is slated to make a technological splash when it finally hits shelves in mid-November.
The tech company has come a long way in a short amount of time with its latest masterpiece and the Galaxy Note 2 should also be more widely available than the original version, reports suggest.
The device will have a 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos processor in place of its original Qualcomm 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus, which Samsung smartphones had been equipped with in the United States. However, the smartphone will maintain a similar set of specs to the one that is set to be rolled out in the international market.
The Galaxy Note 2 will have a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, which will give its owners a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The clarity of the device's screen is said to be crystal clear. Many experts even feel that the picture is crisper than Apple's iPhone, which has a smaller screen.
Depending on the amount of space needed, Galaxy Note 2 owners will also have the option to purchase the respective device with either 16, 32, or 64GBs worth of storage.
The smartphone will possess a powerful 3,100 mAh battery, which will last longer than the original Galaxy Note. However, the device will still be lighter in weight at 182.5g, due to its smaller bezel.
The Galaxy Note 2 will be compatible with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as well. The respective app is said to run extremely quick with no lagging and its user can watch YouTube, check their Facebook and play a game or text without any freezing. Samsung also raised the bar in terms of note taking ability by updating the S Pen on the Galaxy Note 2.
In a technological battle to be on top of the smartphone industry, Samsung is looking to make its presence known with the release of the Galaxy Note 2. With Apple's recent launch of the iPhone 5, the company will absolutely have their work cut out for them in November.
