Liverpool vs West Brom takes place Wednesday in the third round of the English Capital One League Cup. Kick off is at 3 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream (link provided below).

Liverpool have had a difficult start to the new season and Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has immediately come under pressure. His side is still to record a victory in the English Premier League, and there is already much pessimism about how well the club will do this season.

The Reds currently lie in 18th place in the English Premier League, which ranks among their worst starts to a campaign. They have lost three matches, drawn just two, and won none out of their opening five matches this season so far.

Luis Suarez has been left as a lonely figure to rely on up front, and he has been limited to mostly half chances in games. He has had 30 shots on goal, but they have produced just two goals for him this campaign. Suarez has missed Fabio Borini who is out due to injury, and has led some to question why Liverpool offloaded Andy Carroll on loan to West Ham United.

There has been a glimmer of light for the Reds who netted five in their Europa League match against Young Boys recently, and they will be hoping they can create the chances tonight and into their Premier League campaign.

Meanwhile, West Brom have had a confident start to this season, winning three games in their five matches so far. They currently lie in fourth place in the English Premier League.

West Brom indeed smashed Liverpool 3-0 on the opening day of the season, and that should bring them much confidence into tonight’s game.
