In another highly-anticipated T20 World Cup matchup, Sri Lanka will face off against the West Indies in the Super 8 on Saturday. The matchup will be a crucial test for both clubs as they both aim for a semifinal birth in Group 1.

On Friday, West Indies overcame the defending champions England by 15 runs in a top-notch performance. Sri Lanka didn't fare too shabby themselves, as they pulled out a dramatic victory against New Zealand on that same day.

Both of the squads are notorious for upping their game at ICC events. Sri Lanka is the host country so they will have the home field advantage. However, they must rebound from their bowling struggles if they intend to move on to the next round.

Fast bowler Lasith Malinga's form is still a large concern for Sri Lanka. The team is hoping he can pull it together against the West Indies and get the proper support he needs from Angelo Mathews and Nuwan Kulasekara.

The comeback of mystery spinner Ajantha Mendis has sparked Sri Lanka even though he surrendered 48 from his four overs against New Zealand. However, he will still be trusted to deliver on the slow Pallekele strip.

Captain Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara will again be expected to perform with their bats. However, the lower middle-order ,which includes Lahiru Thirimanne and Jeevan Mendis, will serve to take the pressure of the two respective batsmen.

The West Indies will not be an easy win for Sri Lanka. The team is stacked with a strong batting order that features Chris Gayle. The star is coming off a big game against England in which he hit six fours and four sixes in a 35-ball 58. Charles Johnson should also play a large role in the West Indies play. He scored 84 off 56 balls with the aid of 10 fours and three sixes.
