45-Foot Yacht News: $200,000 Abandoned Boat Washes Ashore In California Amid Heavy Flash Storm [VIDEO]
A beautiful luxury yacht on the California coast washed ashore on a beach at North Island Naval Based.
On Thursday, Yahoo News reported that after a flash storm two weeks ago in the Coronado Jetty, the ship ripped from its dock and has settled near the navy base and sadly the owners have yet to retrieve their property.
"I've never seen anything like it in the 30 years I've been surfing in Coronado," long board paddler Jason Ronis told Fox 5.
Before washing ashore, it is believed that the boat cost almost a quarter of $1 million.
An eyewitness told the reporter that a few days back, the yacht looked fairly pristine however after a couple of days, the boat has begun to look old and rugged.
He also added that since washing ashore, the windows have been smashed however there are still some parts that could possibly be sold on eBay.
According to the site, if the owners don't come back for their boat, it will become the property of the federal government.
The SpreadIt reported that the owner is an elderly man who left the boat in a port in San Francisco. It is believed that the owner of the yacht is currently out of town and has no clue about what's happened to his boat.
There hasn't been too much information about the boat however it has become clear that the yacht's condition is worsening as it settles deeper into the sand.
