In Week 4 of intense Monday Night Football action, the Chicago Bears (2-1) will go head-to-head with the Dallas Cowboys (2-1). The game will take place at Cowboys Stadium and should be a grueling one between two of the NFC's powerhouse contenders.

Dallas started the season well by upsetting the 2011-2012 defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants 24-17. However, the Cowboys did falter in their Week 2 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks by going down 27-7. Although it wasn't up to par with their Week 1 performance, Dallas did recover in Week 3 by defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16-10.

Chicago started the year off just as effectively, as they defeated the Indianapolis Colts 41-21 in their opener. Although they did go down to the Green Bay Packers 23-10 in their Week 2. On the other hand, much like Dallas, they did rebound in Week 3 by defeating the St. Louis Rams by a margin of 23-6.

Facing both ups and downs, the Cowboys' Tony Romo and Bears' Jay Cutler haven't put up the most ideal of numbers at quarterback. However. Each of the team's solid defenses have softened the blow and allowed the both teams to be above the .500 record mark.

Whoever prevails on Monday Night, will sport a 3-1 record, which over the course of NFL history usually results in a playoff berth. However, whichever team leaves the gridiron battle with a 2-2 mark will still have time to rebound throughout the remainder of the season, but the win will help give either Dallas or Chicago the proper momentum going into Week 5. At the present moment, most NFL odds are predicting the Cowboys over the Bears.

Coverage of the game will begin on Monday, Oct. 1 at 8:30 PM ET.
