The Samsung Galaxy S3 has been seeing its Android 4.1, JellyBean update rolling out across a number of countries already, and a wider rolling out in many other countries is now expected sometime in the coming week or two.

According to a new announcement made by Samsung Galaxy S3 users across the globe can expect to receive the Jelly Bean update very soon. Where as the U.S. version of the update for the S3 will be one of the last to receive it.

The news of the tardy release in the United States is sure to frustrate some users who are urgent to receive the latest Android operating system.

Users across all major U.S. carriers - AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, as well as Verizon - will have to wait a few weeks later than most across the globe.

The frustrating news could lead numerous Sprint users to look to the leaked version of the update, which was leaked recently. The leaked JellyBean was revealed as a ROM at XDA's developer's forum, and it has been confirmed as compatible with the Sprint version of the S3.

The leaked update will allow users to access the new TouchWiz skin, as well as Project Butter and Google Now.

The smartphone was originally released with two main colors, Pebble Blue and Marble White. However, a Garnet Red was later released on AT&T and it was recently just announced that the smartphone will also be released in two new colors on Verizon, including black and brown.

Both the Verizon black and brown models were featured on Verizon's website and customers have been urged to sign up for updates on when the new colors will become available on the network. The smartphones should be the same as the other U.S. versions of the smartphone, and it will be only the colors that change. Therefore, the pricing should also remain the same.
