The latest update for Samsung Galaxy S3 has yet to be released for the U.S., but the top mobile carriers have been confirmed for its arrival.

The update for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system has been in the air since it was announced in July.

Users of the popular device by Samsung are becoming increasingly frustrated as the only news they've been told is that the update will arrive very soon.

Samsung Galaxy S3 users outside of the U.S are able to receive the Jelly Bean update. Countries such as South Korea, Taiwan, Poland, and the United Kingdom can access it, but the United States is still in the pending phase in the update stage.

Japan's chance to update is coming soon as Samsung says it will be available early this winter.

The top U.S. carriers which have been confirmed to get the update are AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular and T-Mobile. However, they may not receive the Jelly Bean download until January.

Recently, Samsung posted a web page to allow users to keep updated with the Jelly Bean's progress.

The Jelly Bean update is one of the most advanced in the mobile market. The update has a few new features like the voice typing Google Now and Project Butter which provides better UI animations.

Other features include making internet browsing faster and allowing better organization for an enhanced overall performance.

Samsung also just announced their new Galaxy S III Mini in Germany on Thursday. The smaller version of Samsung's popular mobile device has a 4in Super AMOLED 480 x 800 pixels display, 8GB onboard storage, and a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash.

The new Galaxy S III Mini has yet to be priced, but will come pre-loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS on the device.
