He might only be a week old, but it looks like Israel David Dillard is already causing a lot of controversy, thanks to his unusual name. Jill Duggar's husband Derick Dillard sparked some Instagram arguments when he posted a photo of the Star of David along with his son's name and a "Stand with Israel" hashtag.

Even though Dillard simply captioned the pic with, "What more can I say. #israeldaviddillard #standwithisrael", it seemed to get a lot of people talking.

Some comments included, "Was this necessary? To out your child's birth announcement on the Israeli flag? Is this a baby or a political rant?" along with, "Jews are humans just as Palestinians are we all deserve to live in peace and not have to worry about idiots like you defending Zionists."

Dillard himself hasn't responded to the controversy, but it looks like his message isn't sitting well with a lot of the couple's fans and followers.

According to OK! Magazine on Thursday, there's a special reason why the couple gave their first-born child the name Israel. The couple visited the country on several different occasions and it's also where Dillard bought his engagement ring for his wife. The name also means "God will prevail."

This is the first child for the couple, who tied the knot last June in front of 1,000 of their closest friends and family. The couple soon announced their pregnancy only one month after getting married.
