Czech Republic vs Bulgaria ONLINE LIVE STREAMING, Watch World Cup Qualifier, Oct. 16 @ 8 PM CEST
The Czech Republic will be looking to rack up another win when they host Bulgaria in a World Cup Qualifying matchup in Prague on Tuesday. Michal Bilek's squad is coming off a victory against Malta 3-1. The Czech's will look to take over the second spot of Group B, which is actually occupied by Bulgaria.
Czech Republic is considered the favorites over the Bulgarians by experts. However, the unbeaten Bulgaria (1-0-2) may serve to be a considerable challenge for the football club. Either way, the match will be extremely important for both teams.
With the Denmark squad struggling for points in the Group B standings, there's now a stronger possibility for the Czech Republic to assure themselves a spot the playoffs. After having a taste of major tournament play in both Poland and Ukraine, the team is now increasingly motivated to qualify for a trip to Brazil in the 2014 World Cup.
Unfortunately, the Czech's are going to be without some of their key players in the upcoming game. Captain Tomas Rosicky is still out with an injury, while Vaclav Pilar, one of the stars from Euro 2012, is currently recovering from an ACL injury he suffered in a 4-0 victory over Ukraine.
Nonetheless, the team still has the roster depth and talent to pull out a win over a tired Bulgarian team that was involved in a 65 minute match against Denmark with only ten men.
On a positive note, the struggling Tomas Pekhart came out of his scoreless drought with a goal against Malta on Friday and is expected to continue improving. Although David Lafata and Matej Vydra are likely to start Tuesday's game on the bench, they are expected to contribute as well.
If the Czech Republicans fail to obtain at least three points from the game, then the pressure on the football club will be immensely increased, as they will have to wait another five months for another WCQ matchup against Denmark.
