The Chicago Bears (4-1) and the Detroit Lions (2-3) will face off against each other on another edition of "Monday Night Football." With their sub .500 record thus far, the Lions have come up considerably short of their own expectations as their offense and defense continue to struggle. However, the team has still managed to pull out a couple wins against the likes of the Philadelphia Eagles and St. Louis Rams.

The outcome of the MNF game will have immense ramifications for both teams as each are 0-1 in the NFC North and will go on to face some tough matchups down the road. Pulling out a win now would ease some of the pressure that'll surely arise as the postseason nears. Chicago still must face the Minnesota Vikings twice and the Green Bay Packers while Detroit will play the Packers and Vikings as well.

Unlike Detroit's grueling schedule, the Bears haven't necessarily been as tested in theirs. Aside from their loss to the Green Bay Packers, Chicago has victories against the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Rams, Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars (10-15 combined record).

While the Bears offense has shown signs of inconsistency, their defense has played extremely well. Chicago will look to balance out their play on both sides of the pigskin against Detroit's lagging secondary.

In terms of offensive makeup, Bears QB Jay Cutler and Lions QB Matthew Stafford both have weaponry at the wide receiver position. While Detroit successfully drafted Calvin Johnson, Chicago obtained Brandon Marshall in the offseason via trade.

The talented pass catcher recently admitted to WBEZ that he enjoys the attention that a "Monday Night Football" game brings.

"I love some attention; when you have that spotlight on you have to show up and perform," Marshall said.
