Donald Trump has spent the last two days teasing a "gigantic" announcement about President Barack Obama to be revealed Wednesday, but his secret scoop may have leaked early.

After Trump appeared on "Fox and Friends" to tease his announcement, which he said is "large, bordering on gigantic" and includes "something very, very big concerning the president of the United States," a high-profile investor claimed he knows what the news is.

Douglas Kass, a Florida-based investor who often appears on the MSNBC show "Squawkbox," which also features Trump regularly, wrote to his 48,000 Twitter followers that he's already heard Trump's surprise announcement.

"High above the Alps my Gnome has heard that Donald Trump will announce that he has unearthed divorce papers between the Prez and his wife," Kass tweeted on Tuesday.

Allegations of a potential divorce between Barack and Michelle Obama had previously been made by author Ed Klein in his new book "The Amateur," but the White House quickly denied that anything of the sort was true.

Two spokespeople for Trump have refused to comment further on the big announcement the real estate mogul has teased for Wednesday.

Michael Cohen, executive vice president of Trump's company and special counsel to the real estate mogul, did not offer any details about the announcement, but he echoed the "Apprentice" host's promise that the information about the president will be monumental.

"I am not at liberty to disclose the nature of Mr. Trump's Wednesday announcement. Without question it will be big," Cohen said on Monday.

Another Trump mouthpiece, spokeswoman Holly Lorenzo, told The Daily Mail that Trump's employees have no further knowledge about the information about Obama and that Trump has not yet revealed exactly when he will unveil the information on Twitter.

"All we know is that he is going to announce it on his Twitter and Facebook accounts tomorrow. I don't know what time it will be, that's all I know," Lorenzo said.
