AC Milan will be taking Malaga on Wednesday in UEFA Champions League play. Despite getting off to their worst start in 60 years, the team will still have an opportunity to take first place in Group C with a victory over Malaga, who currently is in third place in the La Liga tables.

Forced to sell Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovich in order to overcome their increasing debt, Milan's quality of play has severally diminished.

No stranger to money woes themselves, Malaga has also dealt with financial issues. It was reported by CNN that Qatari billionaire Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani had failed to compensate several of his players, which include star Santi Cazorla, who has since been shipped to Arsenal.

Despite their financial concerns, Malaga has still continued to perform well. Although they a void was left with the departure of Cazorla, they've still managed to remain in contention. The club currently sits three points ahead of Real Madrid and but are behind Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Isco, a talented 20-year-old midfielder, has played a crucial role for the team. With his ball-handling abilities, he'll be a serious threat against the Milan defenders.

No stranger to youth himself, 19-year-old Stephan Shaarawy has been the key to a successful AC Milan attack. Shaarawy has scored five times in Serie A matchups and also hit the back of the net in a Champions League fixture against Zenit St. Petersburg. The player appears to be a focal point from which the team can rally around.

As with many of the other Champions League groups, the final results of the next two fixtures will be vital in determining just who finishes out on top in the group.
