Inter Milan vs Partizan, LIVE STREAM, Watch UEFA Europa Online @ 18:00 BST
Inter Milan will be looking to cement their lead at the top of Group H when they host Partizan Belgrade on Thursday in 2012 UEFA Europa League play. In their last two matchups, the Italians pulled out a 3-1 victory on the road and came out of a home battle against Rubin Kazan with a 2-2 tie. After receiving only one point out of a possible six, Partizan currently has the odds stacked against them, especially since they haven't performed well on the road. In their last two away matches in European competition, they've lost to both Tromso and Rubin Kazan.
Inter Milan will enter the group battle with a five game winning streak in all of their competitions. The football club is clearly the favorite in the matchup. In their previous two head-to-head games, Inter has prevailed over Partizan.
Unfortunately for Inter Milan, they'll still be without the services of playmaker Wesley Snejder, who is currently on the shelf with a leg injury. Nonetheless, the Italians still have the attacking clout to hold off the Serbians. Striker Marko Livaja has scored in two consecutive games for the Italians. At 19-years-old, the sky is the limit for the talented player, who should wreak havoc on the Partizan defenders.
Due to the full scale riot that occurred in Genoa when the Serbians last came in 2010, the Italian authorities will be on high alert. According to Sports Net, Milan police chief Pietro Ostuni spoke about the obvious concerns and how they are being dealt with.
"We know that it's a very high-risk match. We've been in close contact with Serbian police and their experts in fan violence."
