Election day draws near and the electoral map is shifting for both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.

The political map of electoral votes is changing with estimates show Governor Romney putting up a close fight to President Obama.

According to reports from RealClearPolitics.com, Obama has a ten point lead with 201 electoral votes compared to Romney with 191.

In order to become President of the United States, a candidate needs 270 Electoral Votes.

The polling analysis from RealClearPolitics shows 11 toss up states with a total of 146 electoral votes remaining. The latest leanings of the toss up states show Romney leading in Florida (29 votes), North Carolina (15), and Virginia (13). The toss up states currently leaning toward Obama are Ohio (18), Iowa (6), Michigan (16), Nevada (6), New Hampshire (4), Ohio (18), Pennsylvania (20) and Wisconsin (10). Currently both candidates are tied in Colorado.

The latest Electoral College projected reports from Rasmussen show President Obama leading with 237 Electoral Votes and Romney at 206. With 95 Electoral Votes remaining outside what are considered firmly decided states, the latest toss up states listed as Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, Colorado, Iowa, Nevada and New Hampshire.

According to The New York Times, Obama has 243 electoral votes compared to Romney with 206. The remaining tosses up states are reported to be as Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, Colorado, Iowa, New Hampshire and Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, Colorado, Iowa, Nevada and New Hampshire.

The latest polls show the candidates are near evenly matched in voter support. RealClearPolitics listed the average score placing Romney in the lead with 47.9 percent compared to Obama at 47.1 percent support.

It's going to be a close race to the finish as both candidates are on the final days of their respective campaigns.
