'Mortal Kombat X' News And Rumors: Details Out On Tanya Bundle DLC Pack [Release Date & VIDEO]
Developer NetherRealms has announced the Tanya Bundle as the next downloadable content (DLC) pack for Mortal Kombat X.
The new paid content unlocks Tanya as a playable character, a former Mortal Kombat fighter now returning to the fray. It will also grant players the Klassic Pack 1, a collection of classic outfits for Kano, Sonya, and Liu Kang.
Starting June 9, the DLC will be sold for $7.99 on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Marketplace, and Steam. The Tanya Bundle is also part of the Kombat Pack, a $29.99 deal that gives buyers access to multiple DLC releases. Those who own the Kombat Pack get early June 2 access to the Tanya Bundle. If you'd like to purchase Taya alone without Klassic Pack 1, she'll be available for $4.99.
Tanya, introduced as an innocent character before it was revealed that she had been corrupted by evil, made her debut in Mortal Kombat 4. The trailer below shows Tanya as the dangerous fugitive in action, literally, at times, ripping through opponents with her martial arts skills. As with all Mortal Kombat footage, this video is graphic and brutal--if you're not one for gore and violence, look away. You've been warned!
Tanya joins a strong cast of other DLC characters, including Predator, Jason Voorhees and Tremor. All of them are accessible via the Kombat Pack, which also provides alternative character skins. Goro, once offered as a pre-order bonus, can now be bought as a standalone fighter.
