'Beauty and the Beast' Season 3 Spoilers: Kristin Kreuk Dishes About New Threat With 'Super Powers' [VIDEO]
Kristin Kreuk, who plays Catherine on Beauty and the Beast, recently dished about season 3 in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Amongst various things, the actress talked about the new threat on the CW show and the evolution of Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Catherine's relationship. Kreuk had revealed that there would be a new threat in other recent interviews, and that she would be working with the DHS to nab the maleficent elements. But while speaking to Entertainment Weekly she revealed a bit more, stating that there would be more than one, perhaps many, of these creatures with super powers. From Kreuk's other interviews we had gathered that these would be beast-ike creatures but the actress now states that they don't seem to be beasts.
"Catherine has been secretly meeting with the DHS agents-not working with them, but kind of listening to them and looking at the data that they're presenting her. They're saying that there are other creatures out there, and she doesn't believe them," she said.
Kreul also added that Vincent will not be quite on board with their need to help combat the new baddies.
"Catherine eventually goes on this kick about destiny, and that Vincent and Catherine are destined for more than just loving each other-[destined to] save people, make a change. Vincent doesn't want to have anything to do with it. He doesn't believe that that is true, so they come up against this conflict. And so the bad guys seem to have "super powers," but they don't seem to be beasts. They're trying to figure out what's going on and where they're coming from, and if it's someone that's creating them."
Season 3 of Beauty and the Beastwill now be premiering on The CW on June 11 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
