’19 Kids & Counting’ Backlash: Did The Duggars Commit Reality TV Suicide With Fox News Interview? [VIDEO]
Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have spoken out for the very first time following the news that their son Josh Duggar molested five young girls when he was a teenager back in 2002, but unfortunately their fans are not buying what they have to say. In fact, many fans are now urging the TLC network to pull the plug on their show, 19 Kids and Counting, after their arguably disastrous interview with Fox News host Megyn Kelly on Wednesday.
Michelle and Jim Bob opened up about the molestation scandal, while also revealing that their daughters Jill and Jessa were also sexually abused by their brother, too.
Speaking about why they decided to do reality television in the fist place, Jim Bob explained, via Us Weekly. "You know, back early on, it was after all this was taken care of in 2002-2003. We had nothing to hide. We had taken care of all that years before, and when they asked us to do the reality TV show, all of this had been taken care of five years before and we had a clean bill of health from the state."
Now, unfortunately it looks like their reality television future is in limbo as more fans have decided they won't be tuning in if TLC indeed does bring their show back on the small screen.
One commenter wrote, "They are so frightened now because they have lost the gravy train. You can see it in their faces," along with, "I hope their show gets cancelled soon. Why they haven't done it by now is beyond me!"
Another fan wrote, "The parents are worse than Josh. What Josh did was horrible, but the parents set every one of this kids up for public scrutiny. They had dollar signs in their eyes and sacrificed their family to make a buck. Disgusting!"
