Although the Oklahoma City Thunder (1-2) are currently struggling in the early-going of the NBA season, their newest acquisition Kevin Martin has performed quite the opposite. Off to their worst start since their relocation from Seattle, the Thunder will finish a three-game homestand on Tuesday night when they host the Toronto Raptors (1-2).

Picked up in a trade that sent James Harden to the Houston Rockets, Martin has given Oklahoma City a serious scoring threat behind the likes of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. The guard is 12-for-17 with 3-pointers and has put up 20.7 points per game off the bench. In Sunday's loss versus the Atlanta Hawks, the sixth man finished with a team high 28 points.

Although Martin's play has been a bright spot for the talented team, the Thunder must focus on minimizing their turnovers, as they gave up 21 of them, which ultimately led to 31 of the Hawks' points. Oklahoma City also surrendered 12 offensive rebounds in the defeat.

Coach Scott Brooks spoke to the Thunder's official website about the on the court improvements he expects out of his team.

"We know there is a lot of work to be done and we're going to do it. They know that tomorrow we come back at 11 o'clock and watch some film and try to figure out a few things that we should have done better and go from there."

Kyle Lowry, who is Martin's former teammate, has also been playing well with the Raptors as he leads the team in scoring (23.7 ppg). Lowry along with DeMar DeRozan each put up 22 points and seven rebounds to lead Toronto over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Sunday's game by a 105-86 margin.
