Blizzard released the full version of Heroes of the Storm only last week, but they already have a ton of new planned content on the way.

The first expansion will hit later this month and be titled Eternal Conflict. The first major update for the popular MOBA will be set inside the Diablo universe, featuring a new map titled Battlefield of Eternity as well as a new character, The Butcher. Here's everything we know so far.

New Map

This new battleground Battlefield of Eternity features a central combat arena and two surrounding lanes.

Each team will spawn an "Immortal" which they will have to defend, while at the same time trying to kill your opponent's. Once one is defeated the surviving Immortal will join your forces and smash through the losing team's defenses.

Battlefield of Eternity is having a public test on June 23 and will launch on June 30 when Eternal Conflict begins.

New Character: The Butcher

Johanna (the female fighter from Diablo 3's Crusader class) was released alongside the game's launch, but Eternal Conflict will also add The Butcher from Diablo 3. In that game he appears as a vicious boss, and here he will appear with some of the attacks he made against your hapless player in the past.

His abilities include:

Hamstring--hurts and slows enemy Heroes

Ruthless Onslaught--a charge towards an opponent

Butcher's Brand--heal The Butcher with 75% of damage dealt

Lamb to the Slaughter--sticks enemy on a pole, preventing them from escaping the fight

Furnace Blast--an area of effect fire blast around The Butcher which can be used while charging Ruthless Onslaught

Expect Eternal Conflict to start on June 30, and make sure to download and play Heroes of the Storm right here, if you're not utterly addicted already.
