Excited about Nintendo's new multiplayer team-based shooter Splatoon? Sadded by the fact that you don't own a Wii U to get in on the paint-splattering fun? If you own Minecraft on PC you're in luck- you can get the next best thing.

Free Splatoon Inkbrush Weapon Released

YouTuber SethBling has recreated the game in a downloadable Minecraft map and uploaded a video showing off his recreation. This isn't a 100% accurate recreation but it's shockingly close- the map allows you to play multiplayer battles, four vs. four, and you can choose from an array of paint-shooting weapons. Shoot a surface and it will change the color of the world or battle enemies. You can even change into a squid to swim through the ink and reload your weapons!

It's a really impressive feat, made even more so when you find out that SethBling doesn't even own a Wii U, and had to design this based on descriptions of it from his friends. "I've never played the game but I've read that that's how it works in the actual game," he comments at one point about two players with paint rollers killing each other, and he's right.
