Obsidian Entertainment revealed The White March: Part 1expansion at E3, announcing its planned release with the trailer below. The White March will continue the CRPG's storyline, in addition to raising the level cap and introducing new companions.

Pillars of Eternity is a classic top-down RPG that gained its funding through a Kickstarter campaign. The project posted an original $1.1 million fund-raising goal, and eventual donations by almost 74,000 backers finished at a total of $3.98 million. The game was very well received by critics when it launched on March 26, 2015.

"The response to Pillars of Eternity has been incredible," said Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian Entertainment. "We knew, when we started work on the game following our crowdfunding campaign, we had the potential to create the kind of game world we'd want to visit again and again for a very long time. The White March is just the second step in our own long campaign to bring more and more of the Pillars of Eternity world to life, but with us always making sure we live up to the faith our fans have placed in us."

The trailer below sets up the beginnings of the upcoming story line, and outlines the new features that include the raised level cap and new abilities. Keep an eye out for more information, including an eventual release date.
