In a friendly football matchup surely to spark the competitive juices, England will go head-to-head against Sweden on Wednesday night at Rasunda Stadium.

As one of only five teams that qualified that came into Euro 2012 with an undefeated record, England will be heavily favored versus Sweden, which is a clear-cut testament to Coach Fabio Capello, who has continued to man the football club in an effective manner in regular league competition.

As of late, the English did pull out a victory over the Swedish in another friendly, and notably defeated them a few months ago in a more crucial matchup by a 1-0 margin.

While Sweden has automatically qualified for the Euro 2012, the team hasn't won a game in group play. They also came up short in their showdown with the Hungarian team. Hence, many football fans are expecting the English to prevail in the exhibition type game.

England has averaged over a goal per game in each of their matches and Sweden sports one of the worst defensive records during the qualifiers; surrendering over a goal a game on average.

The Swedish club will likely to go up against the trio of Raheem Sterling, Leon Osman and Steven Caulker, who will all be on the field in Stockholm. With Osmon being 31-years-old and Sterling at just 17, the team will have the largest age gap between debutants since World War II.

Sterling will actually become the fifth youngest international player for team England to start a match. The accomplishment speaks volumes, as he recently played for a Liverpool youth squad just last year in February.
