E3 Highlights 2015: 'Final Fantasy VII' Remake, 'The Last Guardian,' 'Kingdom Hearts III' Among Top Trailers [VIDEOS]
E3 is over for another year, but teasers for new video games like Fallout 4, Kingdom Hearts III, Rise of the Tomb Raider and more will keep fans excited for months.
The annual video game event E3 has ended, and enthusiasts are buzzing about the many epic teasers of the latest and greatest new games coming out.
Here are five highlights from the event:
Fallout 4
The release of the Fallout 4 trailer set social media ablaze. The fourth installment in the apocalyptic game series is set in Boston, Mass. Various landmarks like the Paul Revere Monument are seen in the trailer. With customizable guns and homes, fans of the series are very excited to get their hands on the game, which will be released Nov. 10.
Kingdom Hearts III
The long-awaited third entry in the Kingdom Hearts series was teased at the event. The new game allows the user to change the key blade and will feature the world of Tangled. The trailer teases the "lush" world of Tangled and centers on Sora, Donald and Goofy fighting their way through the game. The release date is not yet known.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Lara Croft returns in the latest Tomb Raider game. The gameplay trailer shows Lara going through tunnels and traveling around very snowy mountains, with state-of-the-art graphics. The release date is Nov. 10.
The Last Guardian
The Last Guardian was planned for release in 2011 but after several complications, the new trailer was shown at the event this year. The game, which features a young boy controlling a gigantic bird/dog creature has been highly anticipated for years. The game will be released in 2016.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
One trailer that overshadowed all others was the clip for the remake of Final Fantasy VII. The trailer showcased gorgeous, high-definition graphics for the game that will serve as an update to the 1997 classic. A release date has not yet been revealed but it will come to the PlayStation 4 first.
