RSC Anderlecht (1-1-2) will face off against AC Milan (1-2-1) in a Group C matchup in Champions League football. The Brussels side will aim to secure a victory in what's expected to be a tough game.

However, Anderlecht goalkeeper Silvio Proto has given his teammates fair warning that they should anticipate a hard fought draw in their battle, as they look to remain relevant in the tables.

A 1-0 victory over KV Kortrijk this past Sunday saw Anderlecht move four points atop the Jupiler League. Nonetheless, Proto still remains adamant that his club stay focused on the task at hand. The goalie stated the following to the Anderlecht website:

"It is not easy because Milan are not the same team as we played against in San Siro. In Milan we a played a very strong game. We fought like lions for that point and with a bit more luck we could even have returned to Brussels with three points," he said.

While a tie seems more realistic, Proto is still has high hopes that Anderlecht can pull out a win versus Milan, which would keep his squad in the European race.

"Everyone dreams of a victory because then over the winter we are in Europe anyway, but we should not underestimate the opponent and be realistic," he added.

"The team have more confidence and mentally they are a lot stronger. But it's a football match and it's all possible. We must do everything to get a good result," Proto said.

In Anderlecht's favor, Milan defenders Daniele Bonera, Ignazio Abate, Luca Antoni, Djamel Mesbah and midfielder Sully Muntari are all out receiving treatment and aren't expected to play.
