'Days of Our Lives' (DOOL) Cast News: Which Faces Could Soon Be Exiting The NBC Soap? [PHOTO]
They've been involved in some big storylines since their recent additions to the cast of Days of Our Lives, but four faces could be exiting the canvas in the next few months after some surprising firings at the NBC soap.
According to reports, in a "bloodbath" Brandon Beemer (Shawn Brady), Martha Madison (Belle Black), Sal Stowers (Lani price) and Marie Wilson (Summer) have all been handed their walking papers from the new head writing team of Dena Higley and Ryan Quan.
Beemer and Madison were brought back for the show's 50th anniversary and their legendary characters were quickly absorbed back into the fold in Salem. Beemer stepped back into the role of Shawn after Jason Cook, who initially brought the character back, opted to leave after a short stint, while Madison has been back for a few months. The two characters have been at odds since returning due to their impending divorce.
With news of their exits, it is unclear if Olivia Keegan (Claire) will also be leaving, or if she will stay behind in Salem in some other fashion after her parents exit. It is also unknown if their exit will also signal their characters working through their problems and choosing to leave town together to work on their relationship.
Stowers' Lani debuted last year and was revealed to be Abe's (James Reynolds) long-lost daughter. She is currently dating Shawn, but has mostly been relegated into the background and hasn't had a meaty storyline, which could be the reason for her exit.
As for Wilson, though her character is currently front-burner after being revealed as Maggie's (Suzanne Rogers) long-lost daughter, she is also known as a con artist. Her exit could come after she is caught potentially trying to swindle Maggie out of her fortune.
It is unclear if any other actors are soon going to be handed their pink slips and written off as well due to firing, though Kate Mansi (Abigail Devereaux) is expected to disappear in the next few months following the actress' decision not to renew her contract. Greg Vaughan should also be exiting soon in the role of Eric Brady.
Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
