Nicki Minaj, 'Ellen' Full Interview: Rapper Claps Back At Rumors She's 'Single' Amid Meek Mill Romance [VIDEO]
Nicki Minaj had a few words to say following rumors she and Meek Mill broke up thanks to one of her recent interviews.
Nicki took to Instagram to clear up her statement about her relationship with the rapper during her appearance on Ellen Thursday.
She shared a snapshot of her and Meek and added the caption, “They don’t want me to write this caption. CC @djkhaled – It would be very remiss of you to not watch what I said about Valentine’s Day prior to writing or believing a headline about my comment. I’m not single. Thank you for coming out. Have a blessed day…”

Nicki’s statement comes just hours after she spoke on her love life to Ellen DeGeneres. The daytime talk show host first pointed out that Nicki wasn’t wearing her engagement ring. Nicki clarified that it wasn’t an “engagement” ring but that “this boy that likes me” gave her two rings and told her if she gets a third, that’s her engagement ring.
As for if she wanted the third ring, Nicki said, “I don’t know. We’re still figuring each other out. I don’t even want to say I’m in a relationship anymore. I think when people hear that, they go to the mean place… “
She said she wants to “go back” to hiding her relationship like she did when she was dating rapper Safaree Samuels.
“I just feel like going back to that and saying ‘You know what, I’m single.’ And Valentine’s Day passed and I didn’t put up my Valentine’s Day gift on Instagram and people said, ‘They’re not together…’ Meanwhile, we were really in bed all day on Valentine’s Day.”
After her comments, rumors swirled that Nicki claimed that she was “single.”
