Corey Simms News: 'Teen Mom 2' Wife Miranda Posts Daughter Remi Twitter Update [VIDEO]
Corey Simms and his wife, Miranda, welcomed their first child together, daughter Remington Monroe Simms, in November of last year, but up until recently, her birth date had not been confirmed.
Although Corey and Miranda are typically quite private with their personal lives, despite starring on several seasons of Teen Mom 2, Miranda took to Twitter on Friday night, where she revealed her daughter's birth date of April 8.
Corey has starred on Teen Mom 2 since the show began in 2010, and his wife, Miranda, has been appearing alongside him since they wed in June 2013. However, after being portrayed as the villains of Teen Mom 2 season six, they reportedly requested their roles be reduced during season seven.
"Corey feels MTV did him dirty,” a friend of his explained to Radar Online in March, adding that the reality star and dad of three (he also shared two children with ex-wife Leah Messer) felt Messer, who has been accused of pill addiction since 2014, got off easy.
“He thinks they had the perfect opportunity to show viewers, ‘This is what happens when you get on drugs, this is the reality.’ Instead, they made it seem like Corey was constantly attacking Leah for no reason,” the source said.
During the sixth season of the MTV reality show, Messer was caught slurring her words during a phone call and nodding off while holding a baby, but as the show revealed, Messer claimed her behavior was the result of anxiety and depression. Meanwhile, the source close to Corey said her shocking on-screen was "just the tip of the iceberg."
Because he and his wife faced so much backlash after claiming Messer was hiding a drug problem (her ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, also noted a pill problem), Corey and Miranda decided they would film less.
“Corey told MTV just what he thought about the situation, and said that he and Miranda would not film nearly as much as in past seasons,” the friend revealed. “Producers understood.”
