'Pretty Little Liars' Season 7: Premiere Plot Revealed! Scoop On 'Tick-Tock, Bitches' & 'Bedlam' [VIDEO]
Hanna won't be the only member of the Pretty Little Liars squad in nail-biting danger when season 7 begins.
The series' will open its (final?) summer season in the wake of Hanna's (Ashley Benson) abduction, but, by episode 2, Alison (Sasha Pieterse) will be the one causing viewers' hearts to stop. If only she knew the truth about Elliott (Huw Collins) and Mary Drake (Andrea Parker)!
To give fans a taste of the crazy twists and turns coming on June 21, Freeform released summaries for the first two season 7 episodes on Friday.
Titled "Tick-Tock, Bitches," the pilot will deal with Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), and Spencer's (Troian Bellisario) desperate efforts to rescue the fourth member of the beleaguered quartet from the mysterious A.D.
"The PLLs are racing against the clock to save one of their own," Freeform teased. "The only way to do this is by handing over evidence of Charlotte's murderer to Uber A."
Will the evidence clear Hanna's name? Setting herself up as the alleged killer backfired in true Rosewood fashion during the finale, so here's hoping the girls' research is watertight.
"Bedlam," meanwhile, will air on June 28. One look at the title is all fans need to know exactly where episode 2 is headed. The Radley went from terrifying to swanky over the time jump, but Marlene King and Co. have created a fresh new One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest nightmare for Ali. Every good murder mystery needs a skin-crawling mental institution, am I right?
"The PLLs worry Ali is being tortured by Uber A, but aren't allowed to visit her in the mental institution where she s being held," Freeform announced. "In desperation, they turn to a potential enemy for help."
If these loglines have your head buzzing, take solace in one fact - much like winter, answers are coming.
"When we come back this summer, you're going to find out a lot of answers," showrunner Marlene King informed Variety. "Season 7 is really the fastest-moving season we've ever had. It moves even quicker than Seasons 1 and 2, and you're going to get answers almost on an episode-by-episode basis. So you're going to get that answer really soon."
