"It was a well thought out plan. When it ends like this, it's called murder."

These ominous words come straight from the mouth of Pretty Little Liars' Spencer Hasting (Troian Bellisario) as she gets down and dirty in season 7's first promo. Like anyone in the political world, Spencer has skeletons in her closet. Now, however, those corpses might just shed their proverbial innocence.

The Freeform series is ramping up the drama as it enters its potential final season, and the story will take a dark turn as we see Spencer, Aria (Lucy Hale), and Emily (Shay Mitchell) digging a shallow grave. Someone is about to loose their life, and the Liars will believe it is 100 percent their fault.

Luckily, the Rosewood PD is notoriously inept, so the legal ramifications of their screw up will undoubtedly be few and far between. Unfortunately, that means the Liars will have to face justice in another form, and Uber A seems just the sort of person who could hound the guilt-wracked ladies until they break.

The promo leaves fans with one shred of hope, however. Hanna (Ashley Benson) is not dead...yet. Her unconscious body was last scene in the clutches of a shadowy Uber A, and while were glad to see Benson's character is alive and breathing, the baddie's track record makes us wonder if the Liar might suffer a fate worth than death.

At least season 7 will give us the answer we've all been waiting for - who is Uber A?

"A.D. is Uber A. The girls early on will realize that this A.D. has uber capabilities and it's really the scariest "A" of all," showrunner Marlene King told Variety, confirming A.D.'s season 7 unmasking.
