Pretty Little Liars' Rosewood has, hands down, one of the worst police departments on television. Their incompetence is staggering, and, with a crack team of detectives who can't tell a suspect from a doorpost, the RPD can be just downright dangerous.

Now that The Flash's Nicholas Gonzalez is on the scene, however, perhaps Rosewood's finest can really get down to business.

Gonzalez will take on the role of Vic Furey, according to Deadline. A "sexy, witty, straight-talker detective who's come to Rosewood to oversee the Rosewood Police Department's open homicides," Furey will certainly have his work cut out for him. From Charlotte to Mrs. DiLaurentis, the Pennsylvania suburb has plenty of cases for Furey to choose from.

Furey's introduction begs the question, however - will he be any more successful then his coworkers? The newbie falls in line with Pretty Little Liars' habit of handing out important jobs to people far to young to be plausible hires, and were willing to be his baby-face good looks will throw him into a romantic tangle as he looks to sort out Rosewood's never-ending stream of problems.

Hopefully Hanna (Ashley Benson) won't be on Furey's list of victims. The Liars' plan to bring Uber A into the light during "Hush, Hush, Sweet Liars" failed when the mysterious baddie snatched Hanna from the Last Woods Resort. Believing Hanna to be the cause of Charlotte's death, the faceless menace could look to send the alleged culprit underground as well.

"You will find out in the first episode of season seven what her immediate fate is," series creator Marlene King told The Hollywood Reporter of the unconscious heroine.
