Leah Messer Twitter: 'Teen Mom 2' Struggles To Get Jeremy Calvert Involved In Daughter's Life [VIDEO]
Leah Messer opens up about her relationship with Jeremy Calvert during the upcoming Teen Mom 2 season seven reunion special.
In a sneak peek of the upcoming show, Messer is seen talking to Dr. Drew Pinsky about her dinner meeting with her ex-husband, as well as her relationship with Brooke Wehr and his relationship with their 3-year-old daughter, Adalynn.
"It was painful. I think it was painful because I, for once, got to not just say how I feel in an unhealthy place but say how I feel in a healthy place," Messer recalls of her dinner date with Calvert. "At that time, I did still love Jeremy. I did. I mean, I'm over it. I'm completely over it, but that just recently happened. I've just recently excepted I don't think Jeremy and I are good together."
Calvert announced his plans to divorce Messer in late 2014, but judging by Messer's comment above, she didn't get over their relationship until just before the April 2016 reunion filming in Los Angeles, which is pretty surprising, especially considering he began dating girlfriend Brooke Wehr about one year prior and she had reportedly been dating T.R. Dues for just as long.
As the sneak peek continues, Messer takes aim at her former husband, claiming he hasn't been doing well as a parent to their daughter.
"I don't know what's wrong with him right now. I have full custody of Addie. He was doing great but he just moved in with his girlfriend to Ohio," she states.
"Is it hard to get him involved in Addie's life?" asks Dr. Drew.
"Yea," she replies.
Unfortunately, Calvert was not present during filming and thus will not be getting a chance to share his side of the story, which may be much different than his ex-wife revealed.
“There was really no reason for Leah’s guys to go this time,” a source told The Ashley's Reality Roundup weeks ago. “Last time, Jeremy’s segments didn’t even air. It’s a huge effort to fly across country for them, since they are in West Virginia, arrange for child care, take off work, etc, just for a weekend of shooting. They don’t care about the free trip or anything at this point. They’d rather stay home.”
