They only found their way back to one another a few months ago, but now, with her exposing the truth about her kidnapping to Jack (Peter Bergman) things now seem to be over for Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James) on The Young and the Restless.

After he learned that she told Jack that Neil (Kristoff St. John) had been the one to kidnap her on their honeymoon, Devon berated his wife because her confession, if Jack chose to go to the police, would send not only Devon's father to jail, but also Simon (Michael E. Knight), himself, Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane (Daniel Goddard), because they all learned of the situation after the fact and didn't turn Neil in. Following the fight, Hilary told Jack she assumed her marriage was over, and she exclaimed she was now alone.

Now, after learning Jack won't in fact turn Neil in, Devon will go to Hilary to apologize for lashing out at her, but will be stunned instead when he sees her packing, and learns she intends to now bail on their marriage for good. And after she says she just doesn't think they work together anymore, he will demand answers about her real reasons.

"Don't tell me we just grew apart," he says in a preview clip for the Thursday, June 23 episode. "There's more to it than that. I want to know what it is."

When Hilary declares she doesn't think they would have ever worked anyway because of the still lingering guilt over their having an affair when she was married to Neil, Devon will be stunned, and when he later sees his father, he will admit he realizes how much of a fool he has been to try and work things out with her the entire time.

However, Hilary's real reasons could have something to do with Jack himself, and when he tells her he'll stand by her if she doesn't leave Genoa City, she could misinterpret his words as meaning something even more.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
