'Red Dead Redemption 2' News And Rumors: Official Announcement To Finally Happen On Gamescom? [VIDEO]
Red Dead Redemption 2 has, just like its sister game from Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto VI, become somewhat of a mythical title among high-profile mature-oriented games. While the game's developer has all but confirmed that a follow-up title to the 2010 hit game red Dead Redemption will eventually be released, neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two Interactive has been very generous about the amount of information that is being released to the public.
During the last few months, however, the rumor mill has been going into overdrive about the pending release of the highly-anticipated title. In fact, during the weeks leading up to the recently-held E3 2016, numerous rumors emerged stating that Rockstar Games and Red Dead Redemption 2 would be making an appearance.
Those rumors, however, proved to be false, as Rockstar nor the hyped title were both no-shows at the high-profile gaming event. However, hope does not seem to be lost, as new speculations are pointing to the notion that Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are gearing up to announced red Dead Redemption 2 on the next upcoming high-profile gaming event, Gamescom.
Gamescom, which is set to run from August 17-21 in Cologne, Germany, is scheduled to showcase a number of notable titles from developers of some of the world's most prominent gaming firms. Gaming website Game Debate recently stated that Red Dead Redemption's publisher, Take-Two Interactive, has already confirmed its attendance in the German gaming event. Thus, speculations are running high that one of the titles the publisher would probably announce would be Red Dead Redemption 2.
Even before the game is officially announced, fans of the open-world Western title are already very excited about the follow-up game, due to rumors of several improvements that are speculated to be included in Red Dead Redemption 2. Among these rumored features would be a more massive map, a more engaging storyline featuring John Marsten's son, and the inclusion of more than one protagonist.
