The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio are officially underway, and many athletes and teams have already poured their hearts out to prove they are the best in their individual sport. One team that many will be watching is the U.S. women's gymnastics team, made up of Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman (alternates include MyKayla Skinner, Ragan Smith and Ashton Locklear.

The teams will be hoping to quality for the team final, the all-around final and the four apparatus finals.
Hernandez is confident that the U.S. team will be a dominant one this year, taking after such teams as the Fierce Five in the 2012 Olympics, which also featured Douglas and Raisman.
"Our team is really strong, and I think we're going to go out there and dominate," Hernandez said recently, according to CNN.
Biles is hoping to extend her incredible winning streak, having won every all-around competition in the past three years; she currently has 10 gold medals from World Championships.
"I don't really view myself as the world's best or anything like that," Biles admitted earlier in the year. "I have great confidence in what I do and I'm really just competing against myself out there. I know my whole career is building toward the Olympics and it can sound like a lot of pressure, but I'm just staying focused on what I can control and do my thing. I'm not alone; my family is with me when I'm out there competing. And I do believe in myself. I really do."
